AirBnb Room in the Heart of Bangkok’s Market

Updated: Aug 22, 2019

After diligently searching and choosing between hotel or Airbnb, we chose this room because it’s cheap and we thought we’ll get our money’s worth.

We have a little bit of trouble locating it. We were kind of getting nervous because we were roaming the streets of Bangkok with all our luggage and, I tell you, that is dangerous AND exhausting.

So, anyway, when we successfully located the building, it was kinda disappointing because the building was a little bit run-down and a place ladies would not want to go to. But we push on. We met the owner, Arty, a very polite and kind young woman. She then ushered us into our room and (man!) all our disappointment and nervousness disappeared! The room was clean, pristine and beautiful! Just as we saw in the pictures.

She briefed us in our room and tell us her rules then gave us some local tips on restaurants, currency exchangers and the latest hot spots in town.

The place is smack-dab in the middle of Bangkok’s hottest (and cheapest) shopping place. So we have no trouble (and no expense in transportation) going shopping. Outside our door is a haven of street-foods, clothes, and all the trinkets you could ever imagine. We just have to walk.

It is also a 5-minute walk to the nearest train station (If you’re willing to trek the narrowest side street ever). It is a 10-15 minute walk if you take the long way, so your choice.

The WiFi is also great and the air conditioning is perfect! No problem on that. The bed is very much comfortable and we have no problem on power outlets. There’s a lot of them! The heater in the bathroom also works but the only thing that we would love to have is a shower curtain so that water won’t splash everywhere every time we took a shower. But all in all, this place is great if you have a large group and you’re on a budget.

Check out this short video of the whole room and excuse my need to open every cabinet doors.

I give this place a double thumbs up and would recommend it to anyone looking for a place right in the heart of Bangkok!
